Monthly Spotlight: Mental Health America

By Michelle Lunger

This month, we chose to highlight and donate to Mental Health America! Mental Health America (MHA) is the nation’s leading community based non-profit dedicated to addressing the needs of those with mental illness and promoting the overall mental health for everyone. Their mission is driven by their commitment to promote mental health as a critical part of overall wellness, including prevention services for all. They have educated millions about mental health conditions and helped reduced barriers to treatment and services. As a result, many Americans with mental health conditions have sought care and now are enjoying fulfilling, productive lives in their communities because of this care. Like MHA, we believe that promoting overall mental health and providing treatment for those with mental illness is so important and can positively impact someone’s life. Treatment is unfortunately not as widespread or accessible as it could be, but we would love to help MHA continue their mission towards prevention services for all, early identification, and intervention for those at risk for those in need, with recovery as the goal. We know our donation is in good hands with MHA. Stay tuned for our upcoming merch as we will be donating a percent of the net proceeds to MHA!
