Monthly Spotlight: The Loveland Foundation

Monthly Spotlight: The Loveland Foundation

By Michelle Lunger

Every month Ride The Wave is highlighting a mental health organization. We picked each of these organizations in which we feel connected to and fully support. Feel free to donate to or raise awareness for each organization to help further support their message and goals.

This month we chose to highlight and donate to The Loveland Foundation, which was established by Rachel Cargle in 2018. Their initiative is to prioritize opportunity, access, validation, and healing primarily to Black women and girls. They show up for communities of color in powerful ways. They have their own therapy fund which provides 4-8 free therapy sessions for Black women and girls nationally seeking therapy. This is a mission we love and stand behind as we feel everyone should have access to therapy, especially Black communities that deal with the weight of the world as they face injustices daily that have unfortunately been instilled in our society. By providing free therapy this can help aid in the healing that Black women and girls so deserve. The Loveland Foundation helps break down these barriers and we fully stand with them as they do.
